I'm unpacking my lunch and opening the bottle of wine! Great shot! Well planned exposure to capture the detail in the clouds as well as the bark on the tree. Just enough haze to give the mountains definition and distance. On a personal note, I would have panned slightly more to the right, but everyone has his own vision. Maybe take a look at cropping the left side some to get rid of that distracting bush. It pulls the eye to the left but takes it nowhere afterwards. HTH

Thanks for the advice fuaho, I have cropped the left side.

Great depth and texture, and love the humor in the title, too.

Nelsone, Thanks for the kind words, but the title is not humorous, this is really what late winter looks like in Sonoma County California. The flowers are Mustard Grass. It grows in fields everywhere here. As you can see, the oak trees have not even started budding. (this pic was taken a couple of years ago).

i've been meaning to take this photo for years! thanks for doing it. i wanted to take one 35 years ago down in San Jose area when it was filled with orchards and mustard instead of housing tracts. I still remember that image.
