Description
Here's a minty fresh image I just finished. I've been trying to get back to my roots and draw things that aren't so formulaic. I wanted to created a very organic mecha that could have been created by an alien race. My main goal was to use a very non-humanoid body structure. That's why the arms are down by the legs and the eyes are on the sides of the neck, etc...
-I drew the pic in my sketchbook with marker and tech pens, then scanned it in.
-Colored the mech and did the text with Photoshop
-Created the background with Painter (which I am just starting to learn.

cool... :) i'm not sure about the high contrast between the blue and the greyish parts of the body.. but the linework's amazing... and coloring in general very well done!

Pretty trippy! Definitely outside of the norm. I really like the subtle quality of the background too.
