Description

This is a shot of the new beach created when lava covered a 3 mile stretch of the old beach. The new beach is about 3/4 of mile further out than it use to be. Many homes and fond memories were lost to Madam Pele's wrath. It's very sad for me to see the old beach gone. This new beach is not yet ready for swimming as the undertow is quite severe here. Thanks for having a peek and all the wonderful comments on my last post. Many thanks to all, Aloha to All!

Sad to see the Famous Kaimu Beach covered with Lava and gone forever, sob. Fantastic capture of the Birth of a New Beach. Aloha

How facinating it must be to live in a place that changes so quickly like that, too bad it has to come at such a heavy price. Excellent shot of the crashing wave.
