It's been said you have a voice that is as sweet and high as Appalachian pines; a voice destined for greatness if not for being buried in the cornfields of Nebraska. Then one day your mother rescues a collapsed country star by the side of a county road, and after that things never are quite the same. Despite his fame, you don't get the instant push, but are made, with your buddies, to pay your dues in the honky-tonk bars near Knoxville, Tennessee where you attend college...
