Spicebunny, that's a good comment. As I look at the center of the frame, there's a lot going on, sometimes in the shadows. I did want to get some confusion in the fight, sort of how the orcs would experience it, but the sequence should always be clear to the viewer. The changing camera position doesn't help either. I think much of the problem stems from inadequate storyboarding and packing too much into one frame. I preferred to limit the frame to nine panels, but this sequence didn't lend itself to splitting. I've been laying out the next frame much more carefully and maybe I can learn from this one. The new one has as many actors and many more backgound players, but the action is more focused. It will be some months before it's finished I think.
