Description

Lake Koenigssee (King's Lake) near Berchtesgaden, Gemany. This photo shows the Koenigssee's landmark, the chapel of St. Bartholomew. This place can only be reached by boat. The world-famous church, originally dating back to the 12th cent., lies at the tip of a picturesque peninsula. On the right sight you see the notorious Watzmann East Wall (2200 m, 7218 ft). Since his first ascent 1881 over 100 climbers have died on this mountain wall. (Photo taken with Canon EOS 300D, May 2004) Thanks for looking.

Interesting sight. I think it's a very relaxing place there. The mountains seems so unreal. Maybe it's the place of God - that's why they chose that place for a church ! Really it's a very relaxing picture and superb point of view. I also give you a little, tiny VOTE :)

a very beautiful landscape. da springt einem das Herz in die H. Watzman sei gegrt, auch wenn er nicht mit der kompletten Familie drauf ist. vote #:O)
