Description
Raistlin is a wizard in Dragonlance fantasy books... I'm going to draw the whole of him now that I've got the most tricky part done. I used a portrait tutorial by Theta to make it. Definitely worth taking a look at.
The original resolution of this picture is 2400x2400 so the final one will be 12000xsomething at the least... I'll see if my 640mbs of sdram can handle it.

It's starting to look good but the facial anatomy needs to be worked on. Also, unless you are going to print the image,12000xsomething is insanely large to be working on and it will probably hamper you progress. cheers.

Omg! I LOVE Raistlin! He was my favorite character when I was introduced to the stories nearly 20 years ago! I went through the first 9 books in 6 days. Sorry for the history, I was just excited. Lechsh has given you great advice, I'm not good at portraits but I think you've done a good job :)

I'm really happy that I could help you ... this is why I have written the tutorial, and that it is helpful for someone pleases me a lot! Taking the pic in that high resolution is ... hm ... I'd say not so ideal if you work with my methods as my computer (although I got a new one) does not like high resolutions beyond 1500 pix ... my Violante had 1000 pix ... and using Smudge can cause a funny (or bad) Diashow. But wish you good luck, and happy painting!!! Hair is really great:) I'm very happy to see this as my own hair painting skills are not so good:) My vote is for you
