Uninspired?? Not really. You might consider moving the camera angle up so as to create 2/3 sky and 1/3 terrain and water; then perhaps, make a somewhat panoramic view. As is, I like it! Excellent.

Agree with CorTezz, the sun's reflection is far too large imho. Atmosphere and surfaces, clouds and lighting give this render a dreamingly soft mood.

I like it.. Plain and simple, but there are a lot of storys here, just waiting to be found. Did you know that in 1838 aship sank here, cargo was 45 Bbls of rum and 4 wagons? Over the edge of the lake and down in the canyon "spook" lights have been seen for many years. 95 degrees from the small hill in the foreground is a lost mine that has claimed the lives of 11 people. 3rd canyon over from the lake is where the Battle was fought and the few soldiers left built a small town on the edge of this lake.. Oh yes Eoin there are many stories here.. EXCELLENT.....
