The Kingdom of Hestonia is under the thrall of a twisted man, none move through the Regent's lands without some form of tribute to him. Amdeus Rogart the III is one of many despots and tyrants that have been gifted with the great throne, only to turn it to empty promises and ashen smoke. He has made his war upon the lands of Hestonia and now holds most of it in a vice-like grip, only the City of Wyrden still eludes him, and he considers it to be too small and unimportant to bother his plans. Wyrden is a Roleplaying game focussed upon the shadows of that City as they flourish under the nose of the despot. Set in the main City of Wyrden the game takes place during the time where the Regent is gathering his power by attacking the other Cities and Villages across Hestonia, attacking the very people who show any kind of opposition to his mad desires. Arrayed against the Regent are a number of subtle adversaries, but his direct opposition comes from the seductive and beautiful Countess Arabella. A woman who some say is more than she seems, folk serve her faithfully and she in turn rewards them with more than they bargain for. It is whispered that Arabella is a Vampire, one of the old creatures of Hestonia's past, now in severe decline due to the Regent's campaign of terror. Further cementing this rumour is the fact that the whispers also say Arabella worships the Goddess Karnate, who is the epitome of all forms of Lust and blood.
