Description

I am always in love with metal or chrome material, so thought I do a sci-fi scene with lots of chrome-built machineris and structures. All scratch built in Bryce 5. Any comment welcome.

This is a very nice picture, you've got wonderful shapes and textures. My only criticisms are that one, the sky could use some work, and two, where the beam (coming out the back of the shaft) enters the ground, there is a very definite render-line. But it's still a great render.

Good!Good!Good! These are very handsome machines.I hate to quibble over details however, we are looking out for each other, are we not?I would like to proffer two points if I may? The ground plane might look better as a plain sand texture with a small amount of wave/bump.Secondly,the Cannons?,look a bit top heavy.A second stilt to make a tripod configuration or enlarge the base to give the impression of solidity would make for a more stable looking machine. They look like they pack quite a lot of recoil! Keep up the interesting detail.B.

Rock on. These are great models and I love the lasers. Yes, I too have a soft spot for reflecting chrome:) Fantastic detail on these, but (sigh) one more nail in the coffin of me poppin' out $150 for that darned upgrade! Great job.

Beautiful modeling on the machines...very professional in quality. But all that work needs to sit in a similarily modeled environment instead of a simple flat plain. Maybe try building a platform for your machine with steps and a railing....sitting on a mountain or lake with distant mountains - something other than this basic shape you've got here now. Your half way there to a really spectacular image - keep going!

Wow, this is great. I really like the chrome/green combo.

Thank you guys for the generous and very constructive critiques of this posting. Especially like the top heavey look of the laser beamer and the empty sky. I shall make a repost for some of the suggested improvements for this piece!!!
