From Sumerian/Babylonic to Macabre Visions, my utterances hold within a strong aim: to stimulate the doors of our own perception and to run away from the ordinary and reach for the paranormal. I try to capture with my lenses and my digital canvas what's beyond the human eye: the eerie in each creature.
BIOI was born January 7th, which makes me quite a capricon stubborn lass, in Portugal although I plan to move as soon as possible to Madrid in Spain. I didn't begin to work with Photoshop and to show interest in web design until 2001 - the time I took a brief and basic html and java script course. I must underline that concerning Photoshop and the digital mixed media, I'm originally self taught, which means I'm not a professional but rather an enthusiast and lover of this type of medium.
I also do some freelance photography in my spare time, which means that I'm also self taught in that area but I hope to take a phtography course in the future in order to improve my skills.
Influences: Frank Frazetta, Les Evans, Simon Marsden, Goya, Waterhouse, Edgar Allan Poe, Lovecraft, E. Bosch, G. Dor Concerning film-makers, I have my favorite ones: Romero, Argento, Fulci, Roger Corman (Poe), Brian Yuzna, David Cronenberg.
