Great textures! Just makes me want to go get some cheese to eat! You even added the French red wine! Until, that is I saw the worms already having there share. One thing though, it should be "La France" not "Le".

LOL! The thumbnail pulled me in on this. Looks like you had a lot of fun with it. Excellent textures; can almost smell the cheese!

The worst thing is that the french like to eat it when it's like that!!!!

Well done Litst! I especially like the cheese on the blade of the knife - very realistic. I do have a question, though. How did you achieve the ring of light beneath the wine glass? This looks like a caustic light function (which Carrara doesn't have). My guess would be a circular texturemap in the glow channel applied to the table beneath the glass - am I close?. And Jason is right... you should learn to speak French ;^) Jim Zipperer a.k.a. Julian Boolean

Thanks for your comments, guys :) Yeah i know, i'm losing my french because i speak english too often ;) Julian, you're cold . I've used a texture-map as a gel on a spotlight to simulate the caustics of the glass . This technique is often used and allows full control .

I don't get it.

Hey Litst, How hard was it for you to set up the depth of field on this piece? -Kix
litst
Depth of field was made in Photoshop, Kixum, using the distance G-buffer . The hard part was to lessen color bleeding .

nice smear on a laguiole knife! laughing, because when i go to france, i'll try to ask a question in french, and the answer is in english. or ask in english and the answer is now in french. they instantly know i'm NOT a native.

And I still call the french fries!!! I will take Brie over American cheese, anytime!!! Great modeling, and as always great textures!!!
