I love the contrast between the somewhat stark style & the reassuring warmth that emanates from those subtle hues, it makes me think of how much hidden potential we often fail to appreciate in every person & every situation, beautifully thought provoking work Cass thanks for sharing hugs ; )

Perfect! The execution and the concept! BRavo! Somehow it's related to greenpeace... or it's just in my imagination..

It is an excellent work... simple but hard to understand. In some way worrying: it has something of Kid A... The light behind the tree gives to the whole image a great deepness. A medieval deepness - gold to show the infinity of the sky.

You've recreated an old legend with your own gorgeous style - so beautiful; so wonderful light; so deep in meanings - open to many interpretations. A new life can be born so far from its source. We have to be careful to find out everything... Thank you Cassie for this incredible picture - I'm sure somebody else will thank you too :-)

Well I'm definitely thanking you for this, I always do, but then everything you do (and are) I'm thankful for HUGS. I've held off commenting on this all day as I've felt a struggle to put into words what it does for me... well here goes L, it seems no matter how obviously painted something is, you seem to portray the subject in such a way as to temporarily throw me into a new space, contemplating the subject as if I'm feeling truly alive, thus it takes on a kind of realism in my head that's almost separate from the piece itself. And with this one you've inspired me some, as some of my own earliest experiments with watercolours were on top of waterproof pigment inks from 0.1mm fineliners... 1988, hell... I should go back there sometime L Thank you my dear friend, your work offers glimpses into a beautiful mind, of someone truly alive HUGEST HUGS xxx

To me this is a symbol of life, the tree of Life, the newborn babe are both of these. And like many new beginnings they are born in the seeds of darkness where no one sees them, hidden from all until a tiny shoot springs forth. Sometimes the seeds are sewn in the most unlikeliest of places, and, just like friends, can be found where you least expect them. hugs
