Description

Experimenting with object lighting. I couldn't get the overhead lights to show up in the reflection on the floor.

I really like this. I believe you're onto something, though, about those ceiling lights. Either in the reflection map or by placing constants, it seems like you could fake that pretty easily. If the lights are behind square, transparent blocks (i.e. like real lights), Max may not like that. I don't know about Max well enough to know what would work best. Constants may be your best bets, like a bright, almost pure white, because those should show up in the reflection, right? Anyway, these are just thoughts. The image is fantastic, and I love the evenness of the illumination you've achieved. The objects are well modeled, too.

It's weird, I noticed the reflection after the image was rendered and tried playing around with the floor material a little bit. The lights are made from a Brazil Utility material, the floor is a basic Brazil material with a raytrace map.
