Description

I've been fractal-obsessed lately, but I had the urge to play with terragen again! So, here's my first image back in weeks... Postwork on vegetation in paintshop pro. Thanks for looking! :)

An extremely realistic image! Great work on the surfaces, water, and the vegetation.

Ok, I think your water is superb, almost perfect, and your sky is gorgeous too. The lighting is nice, but your POV cuts off the visual too much. With Terragen, the essense of distance is very important. For the surfaces, very nice work, but I think you should spend more time on the bump settings etc. It's a littel intense at the moment. Looks like you're on the unregistered version of TG. I still use that and know the difficulties. If you want any tips for it, I might be able to help, just PM me

Can't say I agree with you sanosoke. POV looks fine to me and, like Markal said a while back, it's nice to see someone doing some close up work now and then. I disagree about the bump settings too. I've always found it very hard indeed to come up with anything that really looks like a river bank and I think this is an excellent job. I love the water and the clarity of the lighting malia01us.

Super water; nice atmo and surface (try less bump, though - sorry lazydog!), you might be on to something very special with this pic!

Absolutely one of the (maybe THE) best water I've ever seen created with Terragen, awesome! I agree a little with Sanosoke about the surfacing, a little bit too bumpy maybe. POV and lighting are good, but I'd rather put the sun at the other side because more than half of the visible terrain is shadowed. I'd love to see an improved version, because this one has potential :) Especially the water, really really great work!

Water is awesome. Agree with the too-much-bump-party. Beautiful surface, though. Like your postwork very much. Keep on going!
