Description
The first day we got to Hot Springs Ark. it was around 2:00pm. We was in walking distance of
the old down so we started to walk there to see what what. We came upon a bath house so we
tried the door and it was locked then we find a place in front of the place telling a little
history about it. we started walking down the street and one bath house after the other was
closed as the first one then we find the last bath house open as a museum.
Out side was some hot water coming out the ground and watering a statue or something. My son was all excited about it but me I was so what about it. He could not believe that I did not get excited at all.
We went into the museum and I saw the information desk and walk over to it. I talked to the museum people saying " I from Lafayette, Louisiana and I don't know nothing. What to do
where do we start to look at this place? Sorry I do not know nothing but Louisiana is last
place in education." They was looking at me as if I was crazy and I did not know why at
first. My son was standing way back and if some one asked him if he knew me I think he would
have say "No"
My son wrote:
My dad walked into the front door of the hot bath museum and threw his hands up in the air and said, "What's going on around here, what to do, I don't know anything!?" totally dazed and confused. The people first looked as though he was crazy, then they just laughed and accepted that he was just excited. I stood back and was a little embarrassed, but I knew that was just my Dad!
Well the nice museum people told me to take the elevator up to the three floor and start
there. I say "thank you" and my son and I got on this old 1920 elevator as the doors
closed I ask him if he got what just went down on film He say "No" I say " I think we miss a
great perforation " and we both laugh.
We saw the old baths and they massage room there we saw a lot of large electric massage machine they used there I say to my son "look like a torture chamber and some people hear me for I talk loud even thought I think I talking soft . Those people started to laugh and the old man in front of me say to me "that what he thought to but did not say it" and we all laugh. we stayed there intill it closed at 5:00pm . We walked out and both of us was hunger and that is when I saw the Hot dog man and I asked him where was a good place to eat. That story I told already
the thumb nail is the massage tools used back then sorry so small
i no story teller i do have storys to tell but I do not know if there meat this time or just a bone man writing I know I no writer just doing the best I can lol
thanks for looking and reading and comments and votes

Lol! I have to agree Jock, that intrument does look like it was made for torture! There is nothing like a good laugh between strangers to open the floodgates of conversation, you did that beautifully! fantastic story!!

Another great story from both of you! I really like the way you can take something from real life and create a very interesting story from it. You certainly do not "know nothing", you know lots about life and people and what's really important and interesting. I had to go into Boston this weekend, at least to the airport, and all I could think about was who was being a blockhead, me or everyone else. Keep up the great writing!

I love your stories Jock! V (:

An interesting story, but I would just like to point out one aspect of your writing; I found it difficult to read in places, due to the lack of punctuation. If the sentence is broken up then it will flow and be a lot easier on the eye. Please dont feel that this is in anyway an attack on your piece.
