Description
(not really a tutorial, but more the sharing of a learning process...)
I posted my second clothing attempt the other day and A1HostCoMark at 3DCommune sent me some useful suggestions and tips for improvement, so I thought I'd share the results...
The first image is the one I posted.
On the second, I added additional burning (in a new layer) down the right side (and some in the crotch area), to help mold the dress around the model, then set the layer opacity for the desired result and merged it with the dress. Note that the burning also brings out additional hues from the base color (in this case a slight yellowish tinge/hue to the affected areas, which I liked).
On the third image, I added a slight (7%) noise to the merged dress, for additional texture and shading.
...nothing earth-shattering here and I'm new to this, but I thought it added a lot to the first render and thought I'd post this in case anyone found it useful ;).
Cheers,
- Keith
