Description

Okay, this is a work in progress rather than the end result. I should also mention that's it's for an animation, and as such the camera will draw back. For now I just want a little feedback, so if you take the time to comment, I'll thank you in advance!

VERY VERY NICE! Fantastic attention to detail. Great lighting as well. I'm sure the animation will look awesome. Only thing I could suggest is adding more detail to the advertisements/billboards. Be sure to post the link to the animation once it's done! Good Job =DBZ=

Your image is very cool. I love all the detail. Here's a suggestion.. the area looks very dirty and old. Your signs for the store look great, but if the sign itself is dirty and grimy, how about distressing the map for the company name a little to make it look just as worn as the wood, metal, or fabric that it's on. Just a suggestion. :) Peter p.s. I also like your Exorcist image. Nice work!

I agree with Divide, this is fantastic work, great job. The Signs are two much alike in type style., and maybe the placement and height of signs size ect could be changed. Hang one like its falling off the wall a little. I love all your work its Beautiful man. Peace

okay. the atmosphere is great. you've captured alley lighting very well. i love the details and all the shadows, which really help to anchor the scene. well done!

...really, really beautiful work. Nice to see details like this. I esp like those wires. I agree about that sign thing, and, what I would add, is dirt to asphalt. These old store backyards are really dirty places with all kind of organic stuff, water, oil, womit etc. I could never do anything near like this, really beautiful piece, waiting to see final.

One of the better attempts at grunge. I think the dark areas could be much darker as they would be in a real alley. Don't be afraid to let some of your work sit in shadow. I'm sure this will be a 10... when it's done.

While I would question some of the fonts that you used on the signs, this is an excellent piece. The pipes, wires, and cables really give it detail.

I think your shadows are a little harsh. Maybe if you used a combination of shadow maps and raycast shadows. Also, the light under the 'fargo' sign is casting shadows of the lamp post to the left and right. Maybe the light('s) should be placed under the lamp itself to eliminate the rogue shadows.
