his hands tell his stories...even more than his eyes. this portrait makes me cry. he's beautiful. i wish i could sit there with him and talk to him...know him a little better. i can say a few words in his language. hope he knows English! i should go make some spinch pita & baklava...and some Turkish coffee to warm him up. sigh....i hope he's just sittin' outside to smoke and not because he's homeless. vote and into favs.

wonderful, reminds me of one of my hobo friends who rides the rails. ( of course no offense is meant if this is someone dear and special) My friend is dear and special too. every year he comes thru town aagin on the rails. he finds work stays till the weather gets cold then back on the rails. WOnderful pic. love the proud look

What a marvellous photograph of this character, excellent work here. I hope there are 'soup kitchens' available for these guys. My daughter helped out at the City of London's homeless centre one Christmas and she was moved by the stories some of the people had to tell. We should remember the less fortunate when we are tucking into our Christmas dinner.
