Description

UF3.04:jos.ucl>PSP7 Merry Christmas! I changed my posting as my first one was kinda a downer, although very real and very true. It dealt with the self-similarity of the flag drapped coffins being sent home from Iraq, an all too real CHAOS "fractal" photograph ( from the memoryhole.org)...moving yes, and a subject matter I will work with again. I have a whole series of "Bring It Into UF" pieces about the war and have been hesitant to post them. I'll have to think about it...perhaps on my website. My sentiments hopefully will be expressed in this piece...to all the families who today are missing loved ones fallen...my sincere and deepest sympathy. And to the troops, my thoughts are with you all every day. Godspeed your safe returns! My Dad served in Viet Nam and I know all too well the anxiety being experienced, especially through the eyes of a child...but what a happy day when he did return, I'll never forget it. OK, so it's a bright and beautiful day here...coffee's on and the radio plays a beautiful musical piece narrated by Walter Cronkite, talking about WW2...so perhaps my feelings and thoughts were not off the mark. I'm doing the cooking today so I need to get chopping!!! Thanks for stopping in...this piece is all 20, 21 columns and rows... now if I only had six fingers to type the code! Thanks Jos for this amazing .ucl! Have a beautiful day! "Let LOVE rule" Chris

Chris I salute this incredible foto(fractal) that you chose for this day of remembrance of ours and other countries soldiers fighting a war with no way out,so similiar to Vietnam. not knowing who the enemy is, but feeling the brunt of the terrorists actions. the sadness that their families must deal with the remainder of their lifes with a huge void. I never went to the service but I feel pain everytime the news tells that another or several has died because they are serving their country . as yesterday's post by me celebrate but remember those that are lost

A beautiful memorial image. War and peace--side by side they march on through history. The loss of life over the years is fightful to think of. Hard to be merry with such things in mind. But Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. Don't cut your fingers with all that chopping. ;))
