Description

My first real pic created from a DEM file. Those things are fantastic! For those of you new to DEMs, they are elevation maps of the world which can be used in many landscape software packages. I used 3DEM which is freeware located at www.visualisationsoftware.com it is a great package and also has helpful links to NASA's elevation database. This software coverts NASA's proprietary files into formats which your software can understand. Bryce cannot read DEMs, however 3DEM can export BMP files for the terrain editor. I hope this helps this wonderful commmunity that has helped me grow as an artist so much. Happy Holidays to all! Love and blessings to you and yours! GREG
