Description
There's just something about the Mechs that draws me to them. I don't know what it is - the size, the power. Whatever it is, the pull is strong. Sometimes, like tonight, when I'm restless, I make my way here, to the Mech Hanger. It's amazing how small they make this place look. I can stand here, enthralled, for hours. I marvel at how massive they are, how the floodlights barely provide enough light to illuminate the larger ones, how, from this distance, they seem to be caught in a haze caused by the dust particles in the air, how they seem to... wait. Maybe it's just nerves. Whatever, we don't have much longer to wait. At dawn, we move out. Some of us won't be coming back. But, I get the strangest feeling that the Mechs are ready. I'll be ready, too.
