It seems to me that the irregular climb of trees up the initial grade of the slope needs to have better detail of the trees, not so faded, as the foreground trees before that zone, as well as the paeks further away and above are both much more detailed in comparison, throwing off the transition from base to peak of the mountain terrain. The time of day and temperature surrounding an open, unfrozen lake with no nearby sign of even near-freezing conditions, would seem to require, or beg, some degree of surface fog or mist, to round out a scene I wish were on my front porch.
