Description

"At times, Hanna's head spun with the events of the past few days. She was the Voice. How she had fallen into the role was not questioned by the rest of her small group. But she had her doubts. They were only two days out... would they follow?" Rendered in Bryce, with the usual inordinate amount of painting in Photoshop and Painter. Hope y'all like it; comments welcome :)

I am a fan of Lost Worlds-, as well as "historical" novels. Your art is a spark, that sends my mind and imagination reeling into undiscovered worlds. I wish to thank you for this great gift, you so freely share with us.

Beautiful piece! Your work reminds me of Boris Velejo's fantasy art. I love the pastel effect you get in your backgrounds, and how you carefully integrate your figures with it.

Truly gorgeous! Your images always have that oil painting look to them. I particularly love the camera angle you have here. Inspirational work at it's finest!!

Impressive work!!, the detail of the fire, smoke, and the lava that it pours the volcano they are very well elaborated, when mixing with the clouds of the sky he believes an incredible effect, the warring one on the right, it balances the composition, the camera placed in low angle she believes a surprisingly grandiose image... .8).

Your work is one of the main reasons I keep coming to renderosity. Your pictures never fail to inspire. You bring computer images into the world of art. Excellent, excellent, excellent!

Another compositional tour de force, Will!!! Oh my... Every single element is there: a focal point, the classic (and very succesfully executed here) triangular composition, brilliant use of an essentially two tone palette, and other details too numerous to enumerate ;-)! You are doubtlessly the Modern Master of the Primitive Pretties, and that wondrously executed painterly touch of yours just keeps raising the pixel bar higher and higher.

You know, a few artists here are starting to confuse me (that's a complement to them), but I can still easily spot your work within the first few lines of the thumbnail as is comes in without reading the artist line... and that's meant as an even greater compliment ;). Kudos.

For some reason this reminds me of a diorama a friend of mine painted in a local museum, except his have fake dinosaurs in front of a beach scene. I guess it's the stark realism of the figure in front of the painted volcano. Not a complaint, mind you, just an observation. If the image would just render down a little further, there should be a hand rail and a little plaque, "Homo Sapiens at Mount Thera - During the Bronze Age", rats! It stopped too soon. ;-) Will, how can one critique the master? Thanks for all the images and tutorials. Your the best!
