Description

Visited Acadia National Park in Maine last November. This is a photo of Jordan Pond on Mt.Desert Island. The two hills in the background are called "The Bubbles" but I think they should be called "The Boobies". Bearing this in mind(no pun intended), I dedicate this photo to Dudley. Thank you for for the views and any reviews.

I would love to climb those hooters!!! LOL!! Actually, my brother works for the National Parks service, and he spent a year in Acadia, and he just loved it!!! He never mentioned the "boobies", though!!! This is so funny-thanks so much!!! You are a wonderful photographer!! Excellent work!!! Vote!!!

Brilliant work Lynda. I can see by the foreground and in particular, the tree to the right, that it must have been pretty precarious standing there to capture that beautiful scene. Sorry to disapoint you, but I don't think the boobies are big enough for Dudley! Hahahaha! Excellent work! Steve :o)

Very beautiful capture, I can imagine to call them this way! If I may say, the horizon is slanting a bit. Nevertheless an impressive shot!

Great composition and Maine colors, you've really captured the feeling of the land. I saw Nancy's use of this and had to take a look at the original, very nicely done!

AMAZING photo---just a bit of trivia...they USED to be called "The Boobies" but with the trend toward being politically correct, they were renamed. Awesome photo!!!
