Description

Welcome and thank you for clicking on the thumbnail to stop by. My thanks to all who commented on my posting from yesterday; your support is deeply appreciated and inspiring. Today. from the cold, black depths of the distant MBF galaxy, we bring you the fearsome SPHEROS, a colonial organism much like the terran jellyfish, but much larger and far more toxic. Here we see the creature sunbathing in the harsh radiation of the red giant Antares, storing the energy from that star for its journeys through the intergalactic darkness. Hope you enjoy and feel free to let me know what you think; the best of days to you, Rik

I hope the havent landed here ,because i`ve seen lately some bright red appearances on our beaches, of course they might be tourists from Europe who like to suck up every ray of sunshine and often land in the hospitals with serious burns ,maybe they should book a trip to the MBF galaxy for their next vacation . The best place to get a great tan without burning is at the Dead Sea the deepest place on Earth where the UV rays cant do you any harm . See what your spheros made me do ? I believe that even watching their image is dangerous . Another great fun fractal Rik ,this is just what the doctor prescibed ,because a fun fractal a day keeps the doctor away.

Oh, my favorite kind of bubbly action! Superb depth, and the rich red tones create a mysterious scene indeed! (=

The red is awesome, and so is the somewhat eerie glow! And the depth is incredible! Cool!

Your fantasy is amazing Richard! I'm quite happy to confess that I have never had the change to meet these toxic creatures, so I can't tell if they resemble.. But it looks quite impressive! Great perspective and coloring!

my first thought was the fruiting bodies of mould - some glowing forest mould - a scary kind of red - but a beautiful collection of spheres!

Great image, Rik. Sometimes I like your stories as much as the fractals. :-)

Oh Rik.....I LOVE the black and red!!! VERY effective in evoking mental images of your story!! And by the way...you write very well!! Have you done any more "writing"??? Would love to see it!!! Almost looks Octopus-like with it's "feet" of red/black! A very striking and creative image, and I too...like your interesting stories, as well!!!! Makes the perfect duo!! The best New Year to you and yours and I am so pleased to have met you in 2004!!! :-)
