Description

Apo2.02>PSP7:layering, text and opt. Thank you very much for the feedback on Mystery! I'm shifting gears today...this piece reminded me of a painting series I made in the early 80s durning my "neo expressionist" art school days. I used to literally like to just squeeze the paint from the tube onto whatever surface. (red was my favorite) Part of a 2 fold process, first was Lateral where there was no concern for the making of "art" (stop making art!)...scratch, write, rip, cry, pray, paint it black, throw it out the window, whatever, just doing...no thinking! The second part was called Focus where you would pick a few pieces from the lateral/madness work and begin to fine tune them. I think this was one of the most valuable lessons about process and I still practice it today. Anyway, this piece took me back there for a moment..in that it was surprisingly similar in composition and color to one of my focus works of the time...3 layers with different densities, 800,1500 and 2500. It's a deep zoom that was just waiting for me...the red caught my eye. Woodstock Jams resumes tonight 10-12 EST, listen online at woodstockjams.com! Working today on the wallpaper edition #124...going lateral! I'm going to optimize my pieces a little more for dial up...what is the best file size? is 250-350 OK?...any thoughts let me know. Have a lateral day! Thanks! Chris

What a dynamic burst of colour. Although it's a still image you can feel the movement. It's like a fractal acid trip!!. Very interesting words also, with some concepts to keep in mind.

Although I'm not a big fan of this kind of art, but I have to admit that there's "something" in this piece :) I like here especially its movement feeling.
