Description

I hope everyone had a nice holiday:) I have been playing around with my new Wacom Graphire tablet I got for xmas (I am so spoiled:)) anyway...this is my feeble attempt at painting clothing...please be gentle but honest...I know it isn't the best- so any ideas on how I can improve would be greatly appreciated:) The only two things done in poser are V3 and background... the rest done by me in ps7:) I tried drawing in the hair myself but that didn't work out so well...it looked really good when I zoomed out though! So I decided to work on the cloth painting first then the hair :)

I love the smoke/fog... I agree with you about the hair, but still think it's a good attempt and you can grow from it :) Perhaps it's the pose itself, but I'm wondering if we shouldn't see at least a bit of her other arm? And, I think the painting of the cloth is excellent, it's got sort of a velvety, soft "feel" by looking at it. And the more I look at it, I swear I can feel the fabric under my fingertips :)

For your first attmept - impressive. Youll get a hang on to the Wacom, and before you know, you never want to miss this one again. Its a precious valubale instrument. I think you should experiment with perspective and depth here. The hair has the problem that it looks like its shown frontal, but the V3 is a bit more sideways. Easy to say for me, I dont do painting hairs...:-) Another problem I really know to well, is the way trying to smooth stuff, like the clothing, and adding shadows to them - making them more 3-dimensional. But, my dear, Im a 1000 percent sure, youll have supercool results in no time! Take care, Yours, Claudia :-)
