Description
I did this a while ago, and it was my first real attempt at texturing. Pretty simple I suppose, but boy was I proud of what I managed to do. I still am... kinda.
Anyway, this was originally done for a friend, and inspired by her display picture in MSN. Needless to say, she loved it when I showed her it.
The tears use a customised bump map, as do the lips. All textures here were created by me, with the exception of the lashes and the eyebrows. The brows are from MutedBanshee in the Free Stuff, and the lashes are from Katie in the Marketplace and the character is Momiji.

excellent balance of color & composition, & love the high key lighting for this image. left eye needs a little tweak as it is not looking the same place as the right eye but somehow this is not really noticeable at first glance. nice job!!

Her face seized my attention immediately. I reacted the same as Momcat: mouth agape. Then I soaked in the whiteness of it all, the electric eyes, stabbing but doleful... and the tears, striking and saddening all at once. You have done an incredible thing here.
