Description
When I became member of RR after a short depression I did not realize the impact it would have on my life. Wow! A wide variety of wonderful people all over the world with at least one shared love: photography. Looking back on this year I have learned to know lots of driven people, and some of you far more close than I would ever have dreamed of!
The price of this all is, however, a bit too high to continue exactly in the same way. As you all know it's time-consuming and with lots of other things demanding my time I need to cut a little bit. So I decided to visit a little less galleries :( But... I will remain as actively involved as I can.
How to thank all people who have invested so much time in my gallery? For all the wise and kind comments, the votes, the favorites, the IM's? And for your own postings? Well, I thought, let's try something original. So I collected all data over 2004 (2004-12-31 14.00 GMT) and I constructed my own Hot 20!!! But be aware, it does tell nothing about the length, the grammar, the colors, the quality or whatever from the comments! :)

Wonderful picture. Makes one hopefull that 2005 will be a lot better for everyone around the world. We still have 15 hours left to go before we reach that mark. Have a wonderful New Year through out.

LOL! well, very original work here from you...so curious how you extracted data...what your scientific method was...please do tell!!! i had no idea how RR would have affected my life. this place...home. family. place of worship even. i don't have a church but RR provides me many places to pray and listen to God. Your gallery...your photography...well...i see God and feel God profoundly in each of your images. 2004...God sent me a gift me many gifts. Happy New Year to you too Jan-Carel, I want to thank you for taking me on your journey to the mountains, I felt as if I was there with you. It was very educational as well. I hope you do stay around here on RR, cause it wouldn't be the same without you!!!!! I do understand what you mean, about time consuming, I feel bad about not having enough time to comment like I'd like to, but we all have our rich wonderful lives to lead, and that must come first!!!! Beautiful fireworks there mate and I agree with you fully this place could be time consuming if you want to do justice to the Gallary and the lot of hard works that go into it by the whole Community here. I feel like a betrayer if I leave a good work uncommented.....even though noticed and viewed. A minimum of 3 hours a day goes towards RR browsing and it's a lot. I have no complaints though........each and every visit to every page here has been an educational lesson for me...... to understand the art of photography and more so the people from various region. Thank you very much dear friend for putting me in your HOT 20......:O)).....I am an admirer of your work and your narratives specially.......... whereas someof my posts may look like casual pick and post yours are hard worked and well deliberated, thats what makes them so special. There is one post by you..........long back......... of a place.......... which was a comparison shot.........same place captured by 35 years latter or something like that..... ( i am sur u know what i am referring about) that shall always be in my memory and my most favoured. Take a break mate..... we all need one... as you can see...... one day of silence is all I needed..... I am back to my yacky self.............HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO....HAVE A BLASTY NEW YEAR 2005......CHEERS!!!

Oh wow, I am so honered to be in your hot 20. I so know what you mean,so much time. I just make time to comment on those that I can. I know in the time I have been here I have learned so much from everyone,to help me take better pics. This pic is just so cool, its so tough to get shots at night. They have such pretty colors here,what a sight. Excellent captures and job here as always.

Not being a photographer I know I must put a bit more on the oar to get fully up a creek here. I hope my interest in the photocathode eeks out just a tiny glimmer as grains and chemicals find a competitor.
