Description
This image I dedicate to the lady who through her marvelous art got me interested in fractals and inspired me to try my own hand at fractal art 7 months ago. While she was unaware of the profound effect of her art in inspiring me in this direction, she has continued to be an enduring source of support, mentoring and inspiration through her comments, and her beautiful and bountiful fractal art works, each of which displays her magnificent creativity, matchless skill and prodigious as well as prolific talent. Always demanding the highest quality in aesthetic and technical properties of her work, always seeking and achieving visual imagery that evokes beyond the boundaries of screen or canvas, always seeking to explore the new and stretch the limits, she sets the bar for excellence in fractal art, showing us the best and encouraging us to find our best through her example. An outstanding contributor to and member of this community, she is always ready to help and to encourage others no matter their stage of development and no matter how swamped she is. This humble fractal image (and I do wish it were grander) I dedicate to my friend and colleague Linda McCarthy (Fractalinda). I did not want the old year to escape without thanking you and letting you know how I felt, Linda. I wish you and your loved ones a happy, successful and most prosperous new year. Rik
