It looks near perfect to me. :o)

Neat drawing. :) I would have thought this was a scanned-in pencil drawing had you not told me it was done in Painter.
woodcarver
beautifuly drawn :) happy new years...all the love your heart can contain.
SeanE
nice. I used to draw a bit like this.
DigitalDreamer
If I could draw like this, I'd be a very happy Dreamer! Very neat, even more so for being done in painetr rather than with pecncil and scanned in. I havent given an Excellent in many months, but have one on me!
roxcat
This is gorgeous! I really like the style, and the shading is excellent!
rcnash
If this is not perfect I would like to see your perfect. Congrats nice job!
Nolita
Thankyou so much for all the lovely comments:), the ranking so far isn't bad either;). To rcnash, and I guess anyone else who hasn't noticed, I am my own worst critic. In fact your comments, and the number of viewings the pic has received, due in part to my chatroom spamming, but also due(I think), to the thumbnail. Several artists in several forums have said that if a picture looks good in a thumbnail, it will almost certainly look good at a larger size. I'm thinking if the thumbnail was looking bad, then nobody would ever click on it. Anyway, I hesitate to share where the imperfections are(though I don't believe perfection exists). Look at her eyes, the reflection is on the wrong side(because I put the pupils in too early, before shading. Also, I believe I can draw a better ear. Have I drawn a better ear? Not yet, this one's probably my best so far. However I have drawn worse ears, much worse. So, if I can improve to this, I don't see why I can't improve more. Hopefully we all improve, for our entire lives. That's my wish at any rate, that we should all improve, steadily over time:)

yep... great drawing... but she looks a bit freaky... don't know... maybe i don't really like the lips and teeth. your technique is perfet though
Nolita
hmm, maybe freaky is a bit harsh(human oddities have feelings too:D). Well see I would also work on the hairline as well, and spend hours and days trying to get each tiny little groove on each tooth perfect. What I really need to do is figure out how I can put a much larger version of this up, because it does look better at a larger size(not perfect) but better.
Nolita
Okay that's better, now folks can see what I mean when I say it's a long way from being perfect:)

monoceroo
Very appealing drawing ... I'm glad that it doesn't look like a photo. It wouldn't work if it did. excellent artwork INHO.
Nolita
Know why it doesn't look like a photo? It started as a sketchie doodle:).
tony_br22
beautiful style Nolita

i'd say you stopped at the right time... the shading's great - complex and well done... i like it a lot... perhaps her left eye vould be more "sharp"... but that's minor - i like it... great expression here...!

Wow, I have got to learn to use these other programs... coubt I could do this good, but I'm sure I'd have fun trying.
