Description

Well I was looking through some of my old pics and thought I would put this one up. I took this back in the middle of September. Its a pair of nuts on a Sawtooth Oak (Quercus acutissima). I have to say,if you are looking for a tree for your yard, and it can grow where you live, and you have the room. I suggest you think about one of these. Its really great,in that in about 4 to 6 years it is able to produce nuts for wildlife. They are rather large for Oak nuts, around the size of walnuts. I have see lots of different animals just love eating these, from deer to a squirrel that just stared at it before running off with it,lol. Hope you enjoy.
