Description

The January theme in 2D Forum is Typography in art. In this first one for the theme I thought of the modern and often primitive use of letters. Scribbling on walls, in toilets, everywhere. "Kilroy was here" A proof of one's existence, or just a wish to destroy. Then there is the real Graffiti, considered as a special artform, but it is not that I mean to show here. Thanks for viewing and comments

Very powerful image!! I didn't see the guy at first! I just love that black shape, it adds such a strong and emotional mood. Very representative of those "dark ages" I think, destruction is everywhere...I guess that's what the human race does best, sadly! :(

Powerful image and mood! The composition and dark man, almost like a shadow is brilliant.. Dina ord fick mig att tka lite.. Hur ska vi kunna ga ett bestnde intryck pv vld. Det smga som bara fsvinner i mgden och gls bort som tar i regn.. Men angnde graffiti s det en bra fra. Mga vill nog bara fsta, men varf skriva sitt namn i sfall? VOTE Excellent work!

My thoughts run in a darker direction as I view this wonderful work Gun. I am made to think of guilty rememberances of past transgressions of character... each one contributing to a tapestry of ugly scribblings on what should be a uniform structure. Wonderful, thought provoking composition Gun, thank you very much for sharing this with us!

This is such a strong composition Gun, the way you chose to treat the figure is so powerful & moody against that backdrop of grafitti!

THERE'S ALWAYS A SILHOUETTE BEHIND ! SOME REVENDICATION, SOME REBELLION...JUST THINKIN' OF THESE WORDS :" FOLKS CALL ME A MAVERICK, GUESS I AIN'T TOO DIPLOMATIC, I'VE JUST NEVER BEEN THE KIND TO GO ALONG! JUST AVOIDING CONFRONTATION, FOR THE SAKE OF CONFORMATION, AND I ADMIT I TEND TO SING A DIFFERENT SONG! SOMETIMES YOU JUST CAN'T BE AFRAID TO WEAR A DIFFERENT HAT, IF COLOMBUS HAD COMPLIED, THIS OL' WORLD WOULD STILL BE FLAT! SOMETIMES IT'S BEST TO BRAVE THE WIND AND THE RAIN, BY HAVIN' STRENGTH TO GO AGAINST THE GRAIN...".....FANTASTIC MASTERPIECE, GUN..........VOTE...............HUGS..GUILLAUME.
