I'm failry certain this is my first image finished with Vue.
I'm debating if I should make this short film using Lightwave to model and render, or use Lightwave to model and render in Vue.
The V5 renderer is beautiful, but my main draw is the use of the Daz characters. My LW seems to struggle, and forget about clothing.
The one drawback I see is hair. How would I make nice hair that seemed realistic in Vue?
Anyhow, render done in V4, took 5 minutes or so, etc...

Awesome job with this scene in Vue! Looks fantastic, although a larger resolution would be nice for the still image. Regarding your choice between LW and Vue for animation; Vue is just incredible with atmospheric effects and fairly easy to use depending on what you wish. A word to the wise, though; Vue animations will take an eternity, especially with dynamics, atmospheric effects (some volume light from the windows would really make it gleam), & radiosity settings to seal the coffin with galvanized nails. Don't just go make a snack, go on vacation...somewhere far away, and hope it's at least 50% done rendering when you return! Anyway, great work on this scene and I wish you luck no matter what you choose! V

Great scene - texturing and lighting are outstanding. I once did an architectureal flyaround and into the doors of a proposed arena, with parking lot and landscaping, 720x480 broadcast @ 1 min 10 sec. Took 703 hours on a 2.66 gig machine - Shardz is right about going on vacation. Whatever you chose it'll look superb if you stay at this quality!

Outstanding work! Well done :)

Stunning work! Excellent lighting, and fantastic use of textures! (= (I have seen some amazing hair brushes out there, the post work is necessary, but the 3D effect of flow and texture are amazing!)
