Description
Pu'u Huluhulu (Shaggy Hill): A small cinder cone between Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea on the saddle road. It is a native refuge place for small patches of forest tree's and endangered animal life. It is surrounded by lava like an island in the middle of the ocean except for a parking area. It is also fenced so no predators would damage its existing life there. A steep little climb on the left side of that cinder cone (kipuka) and a very narrow trail about 1-2 feet wide. Lets go for it! Aloha and thank you for viewing.
