hi harvis, did you create the terrain with terragen? maybe you can make one with another tool or download one here in the freestuff section. about the surface, you can work with an tutorial, but i don't know a good in english or france. if you're asking hillrunner or christianfly, i think they can tell you some tutorials.

I wouldn't call them cliffs: the scale is off. The terrain generally is nice enough, as are the colours; try less bump on your surface(s); also try WorldMachine to generate terrains
