Description

Hi everyone! I can't believe its been 2 months since my last post, but I have been keeping track with the galleries and forums the best I can. I have been working on this one off and on since november, the longest project I have worked on in a long time - I've "finished" it about six times, but kept going back because I wasnt satisfied with the image. So, here it is - it takes place in the same world as my last image "The Two Kings", I'm hoping to make an ongoing series (thanks to a little inspiration from flak's gallery:) Everything modeled in wings, terrains, materials, and rendering in Bryce, more textures and colors added in photoshop. sorry to be longwinded, hope you guys enjoy! Jordan

Stunning work Jordan and well worth the wait, I love the work your doing in interpreting Tolkiens world with your own unique style. I look forward to the series. What about getting some of the images onto a calendar or something? Keep pushing them at every opportunity, you have great creative style and I am sure you would be superb at Illustrating for fantasy novels & game art!

This is why fantasy is so frustrating, because you make it look so easy and it's not! I've been toying with scenes like this and I can't do it. I'm glad you can though. Perfect picture.
