Description

Xenodream 1.5, no pp, PS6 for frame Thank you so much for viewing and all of your comments. Dirk Last night I sat behind the computer with the good intention to go through a lot of galleries. Then at 22.00 h I got a call to go and collect a (Jack Russell mix) bitch and her litter of 8 pups. They were found by a farmer in an abandoned WW2 bunker, in remote farmland near the French border. When I arrived, the pups and mother were still in that damp bunker, left behind in an carton box. The farmer had already tried to bring them into his farmhouse, but the mother was very protective of her offspring. It took me less than 15 minutes to get them all in my van, and get them to the shelter for warmth and (finaly) food. Listening to the farmer, the litter must have been left there last christmas. That's when they heard some distant dognoises at night for the first time. They looked everywhere for the dogs, but didn't find them until last night. Although the mother resembles a skeleton, her eyes are stil sparkling and the pups seem to be doing OK. With a lot of TLC, we will give all of them a new and better chance in life. All this to say that I missed a lot of new work on RR and that I'll try and catch up late this afternoon ;-)) And that the title of this work was not the original working title, but this one made, somehow, more sense. Dirk

This image shows an excellent design. And your story shows that the world is full of dark characters, but hope for a better mankind is not yet lost :-)

So you too...are a compassionate animal lover...BRAVO for rescuing those poor dogs! The fractal is outstanding!! So realistic it looks like a photograph of a chess set ("self similar"), or highly burnished brass doorknobs! Fantastic metallic imagery...AWESOME!!

You are a star in the darkness Dirk, isn't it amazing that the mother still has a spark in her eyes after all she has been through. Gorgeous XD with so much more meaning now because of your story, Happy 2005 my friend:)

A complex beauty of great technical excellence, Dirk! Depth, variety of perfectly formed objects, coloring and lightplay are outstanding, though IMHO the composition seems a bit congested. The tale of your rescued dogs is sad, but at least has a happy ending. Most of our family animal partners are adoptees that have been abandoned (one was literally thrown from a moving car); so I can relate only too well to the sadness, horror and outrage over the cruelty so-called humans inflict on other creatures. May there be a very special hell for such abusers.

Your image leaves me speachless!!! It reminds me of chess pieces (which I love) with a polished golden texture. Wonderful lighting which allows each piece to have a reflectiveness of it's own. Amazing quality of depth also!!! Another wonderful work of art from a very talented artist. The dog story is so sad!!! They call me the cat lady here. As I read your story, I sat here and looked at my collection of cats and remembered the story of how I aquired each and every one of them. They just appear from nowhere. Some show up at my door in a box over night not even weened yet. I would really love to catch the creeps in the act!!! I love an animal person.

Awesome cool Xd shapes - like double ended chess pawns. Nice one, Dirk - and what you did that night was MUCH more important than surfing the Rendo pages. Well done - with this image AND with the pups!
