LC is never far away in our lives, isn't he, Rik? I think you are right in your hypothesis, every one who ever tried a magic mushroom in his life will tell you that. But Victorian society was very closed, and i bet you wouldn't go adverizing your experiments in those days ;-) The work itself is magicaly coloured, and the black spiral adds more weight to the upcoming transition (of mind?) into a butterfly. Glorious work, Rik!!! V

An exciting flight of fantasy and fittingly representative of the context in which you place it. Wonderful chaotic swirl or travel of shards and shapes of beautiful colors. Fantastic image!

Sherlock Holmes was a junkie, maybe LC was too? I see flamingo's in here; must be the mushrooms I ate ;-) Nice colouring and beautiful wild texturing, fitting for an off-worldish kind of image.

Your description for this image really does fit! It's an excellent design and the colors bring back old memories of the late 60's and 70's. There is no way that anyone could miss this one, it stands out above the rest!

Great vibrant colored spiral . You are right in your suspicians of LC`s use of drugs ,in the Victorian era laudanum (a mixture of opium and alcohol )was wildly popular amongst artists and writers .

What a fun and colorful image! I love the fantastic use of negative space, it becomes a focal point in that there is dimensional texture, adding to a dualistic sense of depth. The shapes are unique in there texture and layered wonderfully! Hats off Rik, super image and time well spent! (=

this is a wonderful image - there is so much information - beautiful bright and complex colours - there are spirals with huge gaping smiles, like jesters - Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite books - the segmentation is great, a wonderful sense of twisty motion - excellent!
