Description

Here a close up of the graveyard. Some of the tombstones covered with lichens, looking very impressive and old, telling more than words. I love to visit cemeteries, the place we all will come to rest, reading the inscriptions, evidences of life, breathing the atmosphere of gone times and I like the thought that the persons are alive again in those moments, when we notice their lost existence. Thanks a lot for spending your time with commenting and viewing! I also be grateful for your suggestions how to heal the cold! ;o)))

Your photo wonderfully illustrates your philosophical thoughts; I particularly like how you've captured the humbler cross standing before the grander tombstones behind.

I love the title and perspective. Impressive capture of antiquity, reverence and beauty, Rita. Your pure soul and wonderful sensitivity comes through your words and the image.

For the cold both sickness and weather, I recommend warm, thick soup, and plenty of warm drink ( not alcohol ). For the body, waterproof clothing, and a good covering for head and neck. For the feet, good boots, and insoles made from a proper carpet ( not rubber backed ). The holes between the threads allow the warm air to collect, and sweat to drip away. Warm feet, and warm body, allow one to ignore most of the other symptoms, Rita. As a community beat cop for years, I often got cold and wet, but was only really miserable when I was cold, wet, hungry, thirsty and even my feet were wet too. I appreciate your efforts and apologise for my country's weather. It has not been too cold this year, but it has been one of the wettest winters, which I can remember. Fortunately our new roof appears to be proof against 120kph winds and torrential rains. When we take into account the tsunami victims, we can well count our blessings. My parish gave 5000 / 7500 to our linked parish in Sri Lanka. Some folk from my sister's school, who were scheduled to go out to help in that area, are still planning to do so. Our prayers go to all the victims. May God bless them all.
