Description

One of my bus riders (4th Grade) requested a picture of a purple(!) dragonfly. This is the result! This is my first post out of the beginner category--kind of scary!! Comments and suggestions are welcome; I'm still pretty new at this drawing thing! Thanks for viewing. Drawing made with Prismacolor colored pencil

Yes!!!! this is awesome! You really composed it beautifully with that insect on the leaf. The details are amazing (shadows and diffrent green/bround on that leaf and the light reflections in it, all the greens below beautifully colored individually, this fantastic insect with the incredible detailed wings .. I so love when someone makes an effort in a drawing .. and it shows here :-) Wonderful combination of summer blue sky and summer green land/water even reflections in the water is taken care of. you say you are new in drawing .. I must say you are a fast learner. This is exellent!
