Aww ... it is not all that bad .. I think you are being too harsh on yourself today ! Maybe a bit chaotic .. but a lot of the fractals here are more or less chaotic ! But daring of you to write it here :) .. still we all know you can do much better ... it is still a great image !

I think that about most of my pictures! :-). I think it might work better if you had the background at a (3d) angle, so that we were't looking at it head-on as it were. It might give it more of a sense of movement. Hope you don't mind the suggestion.

I think I see what you mean, but perhaps if you came back to it after some time has passed you would know what you wanted from it ... the frustration of trying to attain something, yet not being happy with it is something I know all too well!

I like the sense of perspective the back construct lends (though I'd prefer different deark colors with the pink and copperish grees of the foreground conglomerate), and I like the interlocking weave of the twisted coned shapes. It's still awesome, desite the lack of a focal point. KUDOS for being honest and for posting it anyway. :~)

Good to hear I am not alone - I feel that quite often with my images :) And I like your XD even though a bit chaotic.

I am laughing. You aren't a failure today. You made me laugh. I haven't laughed in a while 'cuz I am sick, but you made me laugh. I have been there. EXACTLY! and I love the title. I have wanted to do that so many times. By the way, maybe you think that all of those things are true, but I like this. This looks like what I would see if I could see instead of hear inside a music store. A cacophony of sounds separate yet somehow cohesive...catching a note here, a melody there.

I do not believe it matters about there being no particular focal point : the whole image ( and it is certainly a very interesting one }is full of fascinating shapes and my eye is naturally drawn to the largest shape on the right. The spiral structures and shadow effects are very well done !

Would you mind if I disagree with almost everything you said? I love the complexity and the sharp render, and the colors. As others have said, you shouldn't critique your own work.
