Description

MATTTIDBALL.COM I was bored yesterday and took a shot of my eye...I fluked out and got a well focused image. I did some obvious Photoshopping. I was thinking of putting this shot on my website so I wanted to get an idea of it's effectiveness as an image from some feedback I might get here at Renderosity. I was going for something a little different here...kind of stylistic with high contrast. No flash used here...just the bathroom lights you can see reflecting off of my corona. Hope you like!

Blue eyes, baby's got blue eyes... sorry that song just popped to my mind! An amazing work, Matt! The contrast, the colour, the close up... superb! Now how often did you blink? How many shots did you have to do? wink

It only took one shot Monika...I got lucky. Shutter speed 1/160 F-stop 4.0 and ISO 1600. I then brightened the image considerably in Photoshop.

I love the contrast and lighting. The use of color is cliche, but I guess it works. It's a great picture either way. You might also want to add a bit of blue the the right part of the iris. Trying to help, hope I didn't offend.

It is a great macro, very powerful. I think you did a great job here. This image could be useful on a website, no doubt.

I think it looks fab and the only suggestion I would do would be to change the frame color or totally remove it! A white frame, I think, would look better, but, of course, this is only my humble opinion! Other than that, what a great close up and postwork! Very striking!

Usefull thing, this iso 1600, even with the noise. Noise is not so bad, its what you do with it ;)

I tried a white frame and a black frame but I though both looked bad because there was no contrast at the top or the bottom of the image depending on the choice. I like the blue!

Eye think this is an excellent piece of photography. Black and white mixed with colour. Very well done.

Firstly - I think the postwork and concept are great, you should definitely go for it with the website. I must add though, if you didn't say it was your eye, I never would have guessed... - it looks so feminine, I mean so... hmmm... sublime and pretty... almost too pretty for a guy :D And that blue... :)))) Excellent work, anyway :)))

Great, expressive image! Dont't like the lights though, maybe if you'd blur them a little or something like that. Still a great image! I'm sure it'll do great on your site!

Like the color blue used in the framing... the effect is always powerful... the eye being a soul's window &c. Distinctive too... eye scans , diagnosis & all that ... Enough said .. terrific image...
