Description
It has been over 3 years since I uploaded a Poser image. This is my first attempt at hair painting. I used Heavenly Hair Brushes 3 from ToxicAngel & Ravnheart. I did not have a reference image, which is think was my biggest mistake. I used the tutorial, but missed a huge step at the start and could only go back so far and make corrections. Any.... and I mean any helpful hints would be appreciated!!! I also used some Nice Niche Ink Actions for the skin, and then some PS7.
I realize that this is not a very ambitious image, but I appreciate your viewing and any comments you would like to leave. I am also sorry that I do not know who made the texture for Daz

First of all, it's a really beautiful portrait. Your lighting is wonderful and I really like the outfit. I think the hair turned out excellent and better than I could ever do! The highlights are particularly well done. The only tiny part that looks a bit off is the hair on her left (our right) that is in front of her shoulder looks a little too even. In real life, I think there would probably be some odd strands and there wouldn't be such an even cutoff. Anyway, this is very lovely work and a fabulous job for your first time painting hair!! And its wonderful to see a post from you!! :-)

Well, I am glad you are posting again..this image is gorgeous and for a first attempt at painting hair you did a WONDERFUL job! Much better than my first attempt! I agree with cliff-dweller about the hair on the shoulder, but overall is is amazing! You did a great job on the highlights in the hair as well! I love the postwork on this image...Outstanding! :-)

This is fantastic - you've created a fabulous portrait and your hair painting looks wonderful to me! My only suggestion might be that her top doesn't look as if it's lying properly in front of her right shoulder - it might be just me though as I've never used this top lol! The textured postwork finish is a superb touch!!! Very well done!!!

I think the hair turned out well. The only thing you might do to it is add some highlights with the burn tool. Love the ink effect and colors. Excellent!

I would have wish to have done these hair aat my first attempt LOL! I never use a reference image though... I think is right and nice going on with my fantasy, if I still have it, or I prefer leaving... Anyway I think you did a wonderful work here.... and your post work has been real good also over the top... it seems to be painted!

I'd say this is a wonderful and excellent first attempt at painting hair! It's probably the most tedious thing to do and it takes practice, lots of time, and patience! You pulled thru and did a great job here! Love the character and the top looks great - purple is my favorite color! Excellent work on this image!

IMO you did a wonderful job on on the hair. I wish I could do hair half as well! A render doesn't have to be ambitious to be beautiful, and this one is beautiful. Bravo!
