"And then, as quickly as it began, it ended. To think I once could not see beyond the veil of reality, to see those who dwell behind...I was once a fool..." Eternal DarknessBIOHello, my name's Jeffrey Ware, I am 15 years old and live in Toronto, Ontario. I first started toying with graphics design when my friend and I wanted to make our own RPG. I made a few cheap swords using MS paint and made a very cheap (and painfully tedious) .avi file.
Eventually realizing that with the current technology (RM2K) wasn't adequete enough to meet the standards I set for my dream game, I decided to start a Zelda website using homestead.
During this time, I concentrated more on improving my site's quantity of content and didn't need any new designs with paint or Photodeluxe. My site flourised and recieved over 14,000 hits in less than a 9 month time frame. Although my site was doing well, homestead was not. They eventually went to a subscription method and my site was put on hiatus. This is when an issue of Computer Arts caught my eye.
There was a CD with a demo of 3DSMAX on it. I was stunned. I made a few models and the like but it was only a two week trial.
I was hired for a new job at ztcs.homestead.com where I continue to update viewers about zelda. I've also used Gmax but was somewhat disappointed with it. I don't know why. I also used photoshop to make a few graphic touch ups.
Since then I have used Poser 4 and Bryce 5. I did not like Bryce very much because it's not very user friendly. Poser 4, on the other hand, was exactly what I was looking for. It gave me hope that one day, I could incorporate my improving skills with poser 4 to my RPG. I haven't made any models, mpegs or avis that I want to use for the game yet. I'm still new and testing the waters. Still learning how to use poser 4.
One thing's for sure. Poser 4 is one solid program. I hope to use many other programs in the future including vue d'espirit and cinema 4d.
