Description

When I did this picture, I wanted to give it that feeling of "Going Back In Time"... So I Gave It a Fictitious Time, Date and Day. Sunday, October 12, 1851, 8:36 a.m. I didn't feel right about making the date up, so I went to the Internet to find a real one. I Couldn't Believe It, October 12th really was a Sunday in 1851! And when I started searching around for a little history to get a feel for what life was like on that day... I found that: There was a lunar eclipse that actually changed world history. The old Manchu emperors were about to fall due to the so-called Tiaping rebel group. Western governments tried to support the Chinese emperor, sending modern weapons and British and American officers. The general of this army was Charles Grodin, a military genius. He suffered his first defeat on this day in 1851. A rebel headquarters was to be attacked on a moonlit night. Very unexpectedly, a lunar eclipse occurred shortly before the assault. The superstitious Chinese soldiers interpreted this as an evil sign and lost their fighting spirit. As a result, the attack failed and there high casualties. I hope you enjoy this picture. I am eager to hear any comments you might have! Randy

Ahhhhh, but what time was the eclipse? Now that would be incredible!! Fantastic rendering and piece of history. Shows how synchronicity runs in out time streams.

Well, coincidence, or a deeper connection? Perhaps the fabric of time is woven deeper into us than we realize. Nice shot- maybe a darker frame? Good history here.
