Description
Just got Softimage XSI a couple of weeks ago, and have been around to learn how to use it. Imported a spaceship mesh I had made a few years ago, and mapped a Mars image map onto a sphere, and put some displacements onto some spheres...and here's what I got!

Displacement maps. I remember those. Back a few years ago I was using Renderman for my pics. Great option to have. I wish I had the scratch to afford softimage.

If you want to get video tutorials for xsi, go to www.3dbuzz.com The VTMs are free as long as you spend time using the site. By looking at the bulletin boards, you raise your Karma level and it allows you to download. They do very useful tuts.
