Hi ~ my name is Gordon Arnold. I am originally from Croydon, 10 miles south of London, but have lived in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the north-east of England for over thirty years.BIOThis photo of me was taken by my sister Wendy, aka Gabrielsdream, in September 2005 at the Alnwick Garden in Northumberland.
I've been taking photos since I was about nine years old, I don't specialise, it's just whatever appeals to me at the time! Since going digital, I have discovered the possibilities this offers, and am learning all the time.
My interests apart from photography are music, theatre, art, architecture and museums, travelling and always combined with food, glorious food!
Because I suffer from a rare incurable bone marrow cancer, and have just started a fifth course of very punishing chemotherapy, involving periods of hospitalisation, I am not around on Renderosity much at the moment.
Thank you for viewing.
~Gordon~

I guess the fur coats they wear were not "dog fur coats". I just wonder how we can have a dog and, at the same time, wear this kind of thing. Well, this is probably another debate which has nothing to see with photography. This one is great, by the way!

Well, pimbotin...I'm a fashion designer and I'll tell you right now, those coats are probably left over from the 40's when it was okay to be the dominent species without offending anyone. However, I love animals and adore fur, but I admit to my savage nature. The only thing stopping me from having a fur coat is the high price! LOL I have one made of polyester and have been stopped by animal activists...and I always embarrass the hell out of them by retaliating with, "And do you know how many polyesters died for this coat?" Always gets a laugh!!! Sorry, but your comments about furs on Renderosity is not a place for your soapbox! I happen to ADORE this shot!!! It has so many elements: color, textures (soft warm fur vs hard cold stone), human characters of incredible depth. I agree, I'd love to hear their stories! And that little dog is adorable!!

This is just the best. The group look so without-trying-at-all smart; oh and THAT dog! The whole thing is just SO just-happened-to-be-there. Oh goodness, I sound like I've hit the bottle again. Havent, honest. I do love this one. xx

This reminds me of a seal skin coat I once had. I bought it at a garage sale for 20.00. It died a long time before I was born, so I figured it was alright..giggle I love the myriad of textures in this. Soft fur, the wonderful wonderful brick pavement, the brick wall with the grass coming through at the bottom, it just doesn't get much better. I love these. Guess it is as close to Bruges as I will get. So much character in the subjects. Brought a smile to my face.
