Description
A model that I am working on for a Star Trek fan club. It's almost finished, still have the nacelles and lighting to do as well as bit more work on the small details.

This looks really cool but it looks as though all you've done is combine Excelsior class saucer section with a stretched Constellation class hull and nacelles. A little more originality with the starship design would give character to the excellent modeling, rendering, textures and bumps. By the way... did you model this or did you download parts and patch them together?

I found out that the original starship design was developed by a gentleman named John W. Spencer. This is just a straight forward modelling job for a Star Trek fan club that supplied the prints. They were quite specific about not deviating from the design so there was little opportunity to be creative in that department. The mesh and textures were created entirely by me.

This is a beautiful ship.

ahem Geez... By now I would have thought anyone would know that there is a huge degree of homogeneity in Federation ship designs. Especially someone who could toss around phrases like "Excelsior class" and "Constellation class". I'd say the designer stayed very true to the flavors of the story world... And the modeling and rendering...
Wow.
Commenting on all this series at once... Just... Wow. This is your full time profession, right? And you make a lot of money at it, I'd guess... And we've probably all seen your work in movies, right?
If not, we by g*d should.
